Final Project

My final project is going to be a myspace page. I've been thinking of deleting it for some time now but have decided to change it to use as a portfolio for my art. The page will include my tech autobiography, animations I have done, my watercolor paingtings, my digital renderings, my photoshop paintings, and humorous poems I have written. I will hide all my friends and only allow comments that pertain to my work.

Blog, Reflect, and Shit

My group is creating a profile for "beaker" from the muppets. We are creating a funny profile for Beaker. We are showing his e true hollywood story, which is basically a behind the scenes biography of beaker to show people what we think his life was really like. We want to show a more serious side of beaker and show the struggles he went through in the hollywood business and also show his personal life.

This will be for anyone who wants to know more about beaker. It will be more adult oriented.

Create a beleiveable ye humorous profile for beaker that cleverly connects several real behaviors of beaker into a solid character that goes beyond the flat character created by Jim Henson.

Yes he would approve of this profile, if he were a real person with a real life story to tell.

Medium Analysis

I've decided to do my meduim analysis on first person shooters games. I love them. They make me violent. They also train your eay and reflexes so that one day you could ppossibly become an astronaut. Though they have one thing in common they can be some of the most contrasting games within a specific genre. Yes, the point is to shoot lots of stuff, but I've played very few shooters that I can say are just like another. I'd like to show how FPS differ from 3rd person shooters and how they are the most demand of all games. I will talk about the culture of FPS and just how obessesed and competitive people can get with these particualr games. I love Lafonda Freshy Freshy. I think she is pretty and her hair smells nice:)

Digital Native/Immigrant

Actually, I'd consider myself to be a digital immigant because I did't really get into computers until I was in high school. I do remember trying to download some music to burn a cd on my friends computer and he had to show me how to save the files to specific paths (C:drive for example) and how to navigate the file folders. It was then that I realized I'd never really done anything on a computer besides the internet and wrod processing programs.

Upon thinking about it I do remember playing video games with a friends of mine who did'nt play nearly as much as I did and being extremely frsutrated watching them try the same move over and over agian and never really seeming to get any better at it in which case I would grab tee controller and do it in two seconds and then tell them they sucked.

These are the current technologies that are very important to. When I was younger, however, I didn't use much technology at all. I didn't watch too much T.V. I dind't have a walkman or game console or computer. I spent most time outside riding my bike or walking in the desert behind my house. My technology use spiked when I entered college and decided to become and animator. I also finally had my own source of income to buy myself toys.

Discourse Community

I belong to the wonderful discourse community of the (dungeon) Animation Lab. It could be described as gendered. Actually you could easily describe it as a big ol sausage fest! It's not that we don't allow women or discourage them from joining our little group. It's more that women are either not interested in that geeky kind of stuff or that we frighten them off. In any case, that just means more free computers fro me to render on! Mwa ha ha ah!!!!!!
